Norwegian Leadership in Humanitarians Crisis
Norway is earmarking NOK 40 million for efforts to help people with disabilities and to combat sexual violence in Humanitarian Crises. Announced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. April 10, 2016 © MFA Norway
“Certain groups are more vulnerable than others in situations of war and conflict. Norway will intensify its efforts to prevent violence and injury, and to help those who are affected,” stated Minister of Foreign Affairs Børge Brende.
In 2015 Norway contributed NOK 649 million in Humanitarian Aid to the International Red Cross system. Norway has simultaneously a close cooperation with over 29 International organizations, that they receive most Norwegian support. Fact sheets of 29 Multilateral organisations
